My Photography Journey
As a specialist in wedding photography Essex, I started my career as a professional back in 1990, and today I provide relaxed, candid photography throughout Essex, Hertfordshire, Suffolk, Kent, and the surrounding South East areas . In those days, I wasn’t just taking the photos; I was also working in the lab, processing film and printing photos by hand. This taught me an incredible amount about light and composition that I still use today. Since then, I’ve worked on everything from classic cars and sports to portraits and property, but wedding photography remains my true passion.
My Photography Style
My style is a blend of traditional expertise and modern photojournalism. I focus on using natural light whenever possible to create timeless images that don’t feel “dated” in ten years. While I ensure we get those necessary posed shots for the family and group photos, I spend the majority of the day capturing your wedding naturally as it unfolds. Whether you are at Langtons House, Mulberry House, or The Reid Rooms, I work to ensure my presence is helpful but never interfering.

I understand that most people don’t enjoy being in front of a camera—me included! That’s why I make it a priority to meet every couple a few months before the wedding so we can get to know each other. My approach is entirely relaxed and unobtrusive; most of your evening guests at Gaynes Park or Leez Priory won’t even notice I’m there.
